For Noblesville music, residents of the satellite community have WJJK 104.5 FM. Though WJJK broadcasts to the Indianapolis metropolitan area, the station is based out of Noblesville; the only radio station in the area. WJJK is an oldies and classic rock station, playing all the top hits from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. This Indianapolis radio station began broadcasting way back in 1950 as WAJC 91.3 FM; since then, the station has gone through several name, format, and call sign changes, including WAJC 104.5 out of Butler University in 1956, WGRL in 1993, and the station went from country to its current oldies format in 1997.

In addition, the station also holds regular contests to award lucky residents trips to see great Indianapolis music and Noblesville music at a slew of Indianapolis performing arts venues and Indianapolis music venues. Callers can win tickets to the Verizon Wireless Music Center, Conseco Fieldhouse, and Indianapolis Indians games at Victory Field; lucky Noblesville residents can take in a number of Indianapolis attractions for free with WJJK 104.5 FM, making this Noblesville media outlet a fun one to tune in to.

Noblesville’s only radio station has had a turbulent past, but so has the town’s two newspapers. Originally, the two newspapers in Noblesville were the Noblesville Daily Times and the Noblesville Ledger. Both reported on local news, events, and other items of interest on the small scale. In 2008, the Noblesville Daily Times ceased business and became the Times of Noblesville, now mostly an online presence. The Times of Noblesville promotes Noblesville businesses and continues to document news items of local importance. The newspaper also features articles on Noblesville sports, editorials on world and local issues, and Noblesville restaurant reviews. The Times of Noblesville is a great Noblesville media outlet that has served the community for many years.
