The Forest Park Aquatic Center in Noblesville, Indiana is a first-class facility with a heated, 10-lane Olympic sized pool and lots of amenities for Indianapolis kids. The pool is newly revamped, with a brand new lining and a new Climbing Wall.
This seasonal aquatic center is pleasantly situated in the Noblesville Forest Park, just south of Indiana‘s state capital, Indianapolis. The Noblesville park itself is 150 gracious acres of natural beauty. Inside its sweeping acreage are two main Noblesville attractions, the Forest Park Golf Course and the Indiana Transportation Museum, which maintains real locomotives and offers regular family train excursions.
The Forest Park Aquatic Center keeps up the high quality surrounding it. The 50-meter Olympic pool which is its centerpiece also contains the “Wall of Water,” the new “Splash Pad,”, “Fast Freddie” (a great, twisty water slide Noblesville children adore), “Leapin’ Lizzie,” the Center’s bright pink frog slide, geysers and tons of room to lounge under the oversized umbrellas.
The facility is operated by an Indianapolis non-profit group called the Friends of Central Pool. It was this group which made recent vast improvements to the Center, to the tune of one-half million dollars, donated by the Noblesville Common Council.
Plans are in the works for a parking lot to accommodate 120 vehicles, and a new drop-off space close to the entry gate.
