Barley Island Brewing Co in Noblesville, Indiana is party central among Noblesville restaurants, and becoming famous among the fun Indianapolis restaurants and Indianapolis bars as well. Situated inside the historic and charming Noblesville downtown district, Barley Island is the only brewpub in all of Hamilton County.
The place isn’t all about beer, however. Besides outstanding food and service, Barley Island Brewing Co offers games, banquets, tons of specials on food and drink, a brew list that won’t quit, and live Noblesville music. Barley Island was chosen “Best Brewpub” in 2007 by Nuvo‘s Picks and “Best Microbrews,” also in 2007, by the prestigious Indianapolis Monthly magazine.

The lunch and dinner menus at Barley Island Brewing Co are chock full of the kind of food that makes a pub famous. The list of appetizers alone is staggering. Scotch Eggs, a Spinach-Artichoke Crock with chips, a Beer Cheese Crock with beer bread, the house Onion Loaf with chipotle, Irish Nachos, Brewpub Nachos and Chicken Quesadillas head the list.
Likewise, soups and salads at Barley Island are just about irresistible. Try the Oriental Salmon Salad, for one. Tons of wraps and sandwiches fill out the lunch menu. There are items like the Black & Blue Angus Burger, the Grilled Cuban Pork Sandwich and the Spinach Melt, just to name a few.
A random sampling of house favorites would have to include the Pork Tenderloin, BBQ Rib Basket, Fish & Chips, Atlantic Salmon, and the signature Brewpub Bratwurst and Sauerkraut with mashed potatoes. Kids get their own menu with things like Pepperoni Pizza, Mini Corn Dogs and Chicken Fingers. Kids and adults all love the games and digital jukebox at Barley Island, too.

Desserts at Barley Island draw customers all by themselves. Try the Fried Ice Cream or the home-made Root Beer Float next time you go. Specialty drinks like the Red Velvet, Pineapple Upside-Tini and Mattarita are simply icing on the cake.
The Barley Island Brewing Co has an interesting history. Built in the late 1800s as a stable and livery, it was used as a liquor depository during Prohibition and after that, coincidentally, a beer warehouse. Today, Barley Island Brewing Co has become a part of Noblesville history.
