Art in Noblesville, Indiana
One of the main artistic draws in Noblesville, Indiana is The Artist’s Vineyard, a gathering place for Noblesville art and wine lovers alike on downtown Noblesville’s historic Town Square. Other galleries, design centers and unique antique and gift shops abound, especially in Town Square. The recently upgraded “Originals” Art Gallery, for example, shows artwork by over 40 local and non-local artists and also contains a separate Friendship Spoons workshop.

Noblesville art is well-represented. The Anthony J. Padgett Gallery features photo-realistic work by the owner. And the White River Studio exhibits acrylics, watercolors, sculptures and prints.
Artists such as highly-acclaimed Henry Bell and George Elliott also work their wonders in Noblesville. These two are charter members of the Wayne Street Connection, a group of like-minded local artists who have painted and breakfasted together every Tuesday for over 20 years. Another interesting local art clique is called Group Six. They each paint a section of a photograph on long narrow canvas strips, in their own distinctive style. The canvas sections are zipped together when done to create a unique, six-person interpretation of the subject.

Bundy Decoys of Noblesville offer a true glimpse into long-lived American folk art. Their beautiful hand-made decoys are among the most sought-after the world over. The Amish Furniture Gallery offers the practical and graceful Amish furniture that has also come to be recognized as a type of authentic American art.
The Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission is the center of the cultural wheel in town, sponsoring scholarships and promoting the arts whenever and wherever possible. A Noblesville event, the Summer Art Fair on the Square, produced by the Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission, showcases some of the finest local artists around every August.
The Belfry Theatre in Noblesville is one of the more popular community theaters in all of Indiana. Made up of dedicated volunteers, this group prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere for all those who grace their stage, work backstage or enjoy the fruit of all the labor from out front.
