About Harbour Trees Golf Club

Harbour Trees Golf Club is home to an 18-hole championship course located on the beautiful Morse Lake north of Indianapolis downtown. The community surrounding Harbor Trees is one of the finest and highly-sought after residential areas in all of Hamilton County. Developed in 1973 by the Shorewood Corporation, Harbour Trees became an equity club in 1979 when Shorewood sold the club to its members. Located in the heart of a beautiful housing community, Harbour Trees is a family oriented golf club, where kids are welcome.

Designed by the nationally renowned golf course designer, Pete Dye, the course at Harbour Trees was built by and for golfers. Players of any skill level can enjoy a challenging but fun round of golf at Harbour Trees Golf Club. It has been described at challenging but fair; many pro-golfers have even found certain part of the course difficult. In the early 1980s, this renowned club hosted the LPGA Mayflower Classic for three years running. Harbour Trees also played host to the Indiana State Open in 1074, 1984 and 1992.

Dye has designed a number of courses that are regular stops on the PGA and Senior tours, meaning golfers at Harbour Trees can enjoy many of the same attributes for which Dye’s courses are famous. They include the use of railroad ties to buttress the land particularly around water, small uniquely shaped and rolling greens and a variety of hole challenges. The featured 18th hole is a signature par three hole. About 175 yard downhill over water to a sloping green that is tucked around an inlet of Morse Lake, many a player returns time and again to attempt the challenge. And many a friendly wager is decided on the 18th hole.

In addition, Harbour Trees Golf Course offers a Junior Golf Program. The staff of golf professionals at Harbour Trees are always ready to help young men and women learn to love the game of golf. In fact, seven former junior golfers in the Harbour Trees program have gone on to make a career of golf, becoming PGA professionals. Plus, Harbour Trees hosts the Noblesville High School Boys and Girls golf teams on a regular basis. These young members have won state championships multiple years and even obtained golf scholarships. Certainly, the demanding and well maintained golf course grounds have conditioned these players to go on to achieve national recognition.

The team at Harbour Trees Golf Club is continually improving the course. The Major Tee project repositioned and rebuilt all the trees of the course. There are four Tee Stations, on which players can test their skills. Harbour Trees has renovated sand bunkers, drainage systems, introduced new white sand and re-contoured the face and walls of the bunkers.

The Harbour Trees Club House is an another amazing facet of the Harbour Trees Golf Course. A place for club members to meet and greet, the club house offers dozens of amenities.
